While we don't accept owner surrenders, here are some resources available to you.

• Allergies? Its probably the hay! Try switching to Orchard Grass.

• Too stinky or messy? Rabbits are naturally very clean animals! Try cleaning out the litter box at least 1-2 times per week for a single rabbit. Spaying and neutering also helps with urine smells, territorial droppings, behavior, and litter box habits. 

• Supply costs too high? We're happy to help with discounted supplies. Email us your situation and we'll work together on getting you everything you need to keep your family together.

• Moving? Email us for tips on how to move with your rabbits. We have multiple board members who have done cross country moves with their rabbits in the past. 

• Not enough time? Rabbits are most active at dawn and dusk. For most schedules, this means before you go to work and after you get home. Bunnies sleep most of the day and enjoy their independence. 15-20 minutes of your time before work or after school is enough to keep them engaged. 

• Still need to rehome? Follow these steps:

  1. Set a minimum of a $60 rehoming fee to protect you and your rabbit.

  2. Only accept indoor rabbit setups with ample space for running and exploring.

  3. Offer all supplies to ensure a smooth a transition. 

  4. Facebook rehoming groups and Petfinder are good options for rehoming posts.
